FAQ

Questions people ask before they start

What is a tech pack?

A tech pack is the instruction manual a factory uses to sample, quote and produce a garment: sketches, materials, measurements for every size, construction, artwork, labels and packing.

Is Techpack Studio really free?

Yes. There is no account, no trial and no paid tier. You can create as many tech packs as you like and export them as PDF and CSV.

Where is my data stored?

Only in your own browser. Nothing you type is uploaded. Download a backup file to keep a copy or to move your work to another computer.

Do I need design software like Illustrator?

No. Ready-made flat sketches for T-shirts, polos, hoodies, sweatshirts, shirts, pants and shorts are built in, and you can upload your own drawings when you have them.

Can I send the PDF straight to my factory?

Yes. The exported tech pack is in English, the working language of most factories, and the pre-flight check flags missing details before you send it.
